WorkForce Helpers empowers individuals to effectively train for and enter the skilled workforce.
WorkForce Helpers empowers individuals to effectively train for and enter the skilled workforce.
To provide services, facilities, financial & training support and programs that support student needs, foster student learning and personal development, create a healthy and diverse community, and enrich student life.
To be part of a collaborative and benevolent community of empowered, skilled, and independent individuals.
We help individuals who are unemployed, low-income, reentering citizens, or otherwise in need transition into skilled and stable employment. We support individuals in the way of transportation, childcare, room and board, tuition, and other living expenses so individuals can focus on their future.
Since skilled workers are in high demand in this economy, there is a great opportunity for well-paying, fulltime employment. With support, more individuals can take the opportunity to start a career and a better life while contributing to the local economy.
Our goal is to help as many motivated individuals as we can receive the support they need to complete their training, gain certification, and pursue a new career.
To apply for support, applicants must agree to our conditions, provide proof of need, be actively training or transitioning to employment, and answer all of our questions to the best of their ability. Everyone who applies will be considered as long as funds are available, but preference will be given to those who make the effort to complete our process.
Email director@workforce-helpers.org for more information and access to the application.

WorkForce Helpers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports individuals in need while they are transitioning into a skilled and stable career. Our organization started in 2020 in Athens, GA. The founders of the organization, Pete McGill and Clay Evans (pictured), run WorkForce Innovators of America, a short-term skills training program designed to assist students with gaining hard and soft skills necessary to enter the skilled workforce.
McGill and Evans noticed that many potential students were mentally prepared to complete their training and start a new career, but several couldn't afford expenses on their own and did not qualify for state funding. Each year, about 150 students enroll, graduate, pass certification, and gain employment, but that number could be up to 200 if those 50 individuals had some help.
McGill and Evans felt driven to help these individuals gain support, complete skills training, and attain a steady and well-paying fulltime job. They did everything they could to help students, including covering some expenses out of their own pocket. This is why WorkForce Helpers was created: to support individuals transitioning into the skilled workforce so they can have a better career and a better life.
